Say No To Plastic Save Our Planet

RC of Siliguri Uttorayon Believers carried out a significant project on April 27 as part of Rotary Environment Month by giving reusable cloth bags bearing the Rotary logo and club name branding to Uttorayon vegetable and fruit vendors. As believers, we are doing everything we can to protect the environment. This ongoing initiative is carried out each month with the goal of motivating vendors to offer fruits and vegetables in reusable or eco-friendly bags rather than plastic ones. The program encourages a cleaner, greener future for our community and raises awareness of environmental issues. AG Rtn kindly arranged all of the bags for this project. These bags were distributed in the presence of Rtn. Kiran Kayan and Secretary Rtn. Anju Sarda. In the future also, we will try our best to support them.

General Meeting Cum General meeting cum fellowship

Rohini RC Uttorayon Believers organized a vibrant General Meeting cum Fellowship on 30th April at Ekam, Rohini. The event witnessed an enthusiastic turnout, making it a lively and memorable gathering. Assistant Governor Rtn. Kiran Kayan added great energy to the day by organizing a variety of fun-filled activities, including housie and other engaging games that kept everyone entertained. Members enjoyed delicious snacks and truly cherished the joyful moments spent together. The event was graciously sponsored by our host President, Rtn. Rosy Prasad, whose efforts made the day even more special and unforgettable. The celebration was marked with a cake-cutting ceremony, followed by lots of photographs capturing beautiful memories with our wonderful Believer friends. It was indeed a day filled with laughter, bonding, and fellowship—one to remember!

Joint Rotary Fellowship& International Club Meet

The Rotary Club of Birtamod Midtown successfully hosted a Joint Rotary Fellowship & Inter-Club Meet, bringing together Rotary leaders and members from multiple clubs of Siliguri and Jalpaiguri in an evening filled with fellowship, dialogue, and shared purpose. The meet was graced by the presence of Assistant Governor Rtn. Arnab Saha and Past Assistant Governor Rtn. Shiv Shankar Sharma, along with Presidents, Secretaries, and members of participating Rotary Clubs. Our President, Rtn.Rosy Prasad exchanged flags with Rtn.Pushpanjali Thakuri Sinha President of Rotary Birtamode Midtown Nepal. An interactive session on Global Grants by PP Rtn. Shuva Kumai Pathak A presentation on a Mobile Cancer Screening Program by Rtn. Dr. Birendra Yadav A meaningful Flag Exchange Ceremony symbolized unity, friendship, and our shared commitment to Service above Self.

General Meeting Cum Birthday Celebration

On 13th December 2025, Rotary Believers organized a Fellowship General Meeting cum Birthday Celebration to commemorate the birthday of AG Kiran Kayan. The celebration was graciously hosted at her tea factory in Bidhannagar, where all arrangements were thoughtfully made by AG Kiran Kayan herself. The occasion was marked by cake cutting, warm fellowship, and joyful interactions among club members. The event was exceptionally well organized and filled with fun and engaging activities, including picking fresh vegetables from the premises and feeding, which added a unique and delightful touch to the gathering. Overall, the meeting turned into a memorable and lively celebration, strengthening camaraderie and fellowship among Rotary Believers.

General Meeting Summary Date: 5th September 2025 Venue: Residence of Rtn. Rashmi Alampuria Members Present: 13 The Rotary Club of Siliguri Uttorayon Believers held its general meeting on 5th September, where the following key points were discussed: 1. RI Zone 6 TRF Symposium – Scheduled for 19th September 2025 at Marriott, hosted jointly by Siliguri & Jalpaiguri Zones VI and VII. 2. Inauguration of Sanitary Napkin Bank – Planned for 23rd September 2025. The meeting concluded with fun games, warm fellowship, and light refreshments, making it a productive and enjoyable gathering.

GENERAL MEETING CUM FELLOWSHIP

A General Meeting of our club was held on 19th August at Shantiniketan , Ghoshpukur.The meeting was followed by fellowship and hi-tea During the meeting, members discussed the agenda items which included: Thrift mela on 10th September Teacher day celebration on 5th September permanent project Dog and Cow Shelter. A total of 13 members were present for the meeting.

GENERAL MEETING CUM FELLOWSHIP

A General Meeting of our club was held on 11th August at the residence of Rtn. Suman Maheswari. The meeting was followed by fellowship and dinner. During the meeting, members discussed the agenda items which included: Celebration of Independence Day Celebration of Janmashtami Updates on our permanent project Dog and Cow Shelter. A total of 15 members were present for the meeting.

On 26th July 2025, our Rotary family came together to celebrate the vibrant festival of Teej in true festive spirit! With over 26 members and their families in attendance, the event was a joyful blend of tradition, fun, and fellowship. 💃 The evening sparkled with dance performances by our talented members, lively music, and a setting beautifully decorated in vibrant hues – truly a feast for the eyes! 🫖 The celebration ended on a delicious note with a lavish hi-tea. Passing the Baton of Leadership In a symbolic exchange of collars, President 2024–25 Rtn. Anita Mittal handed over leadership to President 2025–26 Rtn. Rosy Prasad. Similarly, Secretary Rtn. Neha entrusted her responsibilities to Secretary Rtn. Anju Sarda—marking a new chapter in the club’s journey. 🌟 Special Highlights • Launch of the club bulletin by Editor Rtn. Sangeeta Reddy, showcasing achievements and the roadmap for the coming year. In alignment with Rotary’s environmental vision, the club observed Plastic Free Day, gifting potted plants, earthen water bottles, and encouraging recycled newspaper gift wrapping—spreading the message of eco-conscious living. • PDG Rtn. Subhasis Chatterjee pledged full support for the club’s proposed Permanent Sanitary Napkin Bank for underprivileged girls in government schools—a remarkable step for menstrual health awareness. 🎖 Honouring Contributions
